Teaching & Learning Framework
Goals
-to provide a combination of teaching & learning, skills building and organization. Main conduits are arts and media (several disciplines – writing, visual arts, performance, media publishing, critical media literacy) in an attempt to see the curriculum in a new way as they lead to learning in your subject areas. The goal is long-term, to inspire us and the students to gain skills
-to engage students with various subjects/careers by connecting learning to personal experience via art, storytelling and the web; to use the stories of youth to motivate them to be come self-directted learners; to foster an ongoing process of individual and collective reflection within the Nancy B Jefferson community.

CAMP Activities foster valuable lifelong skills such as:
-- literacy in technology, storytelling, poetry, concept mapping and storyboarding

-- skills such as deconstructing and critiquing media messages, song lyrics
